11th Griffin 5k Run Results

The 11th Annual Griffin 5K on August 1, 2009 was a great success! A record pre-registration and race day registrations was achieved. 175 participants enjoyed a great run/walk around scenic Lake Mokoma on a beautiful sunny day. The winners of this year's race are:

This event was sponsored by The Sullivan Review, Leonard Simpson, Esq., Citizens & Northern Bank, Fitzpatrick & Lambert Inc., Mosher Chiropractic, Hatton Transportation, Peoples State Bank, Mary Beth's West Side Deli, Dwight Lewis Lumber Co., Inc. and the Lake Mokoma Association. The Dushore Market provided fresh fruits for this year's race and the Dushore Pharmacy made a donation. The Laporte Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Association handled traffic control and were available for medical assistance. Runners came from as far as Illinois and from different parts of Pennsylvania. Thank You to the Lake Mokoma Association, who allowed the use of their land once again for this great event; and to The Sullivan Review and Rocket Courier for covering the race and taking pictures. Also, thank you to all the volunteers and Booster Club members that helped out at the race, it wouldn't have been such a success without them.
