NOTES: The event consists of a 400 yard swim in indoor pool, 7 miles on stationary bike at Race Level 5, 2 miles on Indoor Track. A great sprint for Ironmen/women and Triathletes, and a great challenge for first timers. Relay teams also allowed.
This annual event attracts Ironmen and Ironwomen, experience Triathletes, and first-timers for a great community fund-raising event.
This year our selected charity is called Nurse Family Partnership. This is a terrific, evidence-based program that helps at risk young parents during their pregnancy and the first two years of the baby’s life.
We are really excited to help this program because it reduces neglect, accidents, behavior and intellectual problems for both the parents and kids involved in the program.
This program is a national program whose local chapter is run by Maternal and Family Health Services in Wilkes-Barre.
