The largest field yet for the Wendy's Big Pocono Trail Run. 58 runners from six states tackled 3.7 miles of rocky descents and steep inclines. A new course record was set by George Fair (24:12) with three runners besting the time of last years race and series champion Janes Ryan. Jim pulled out of the race with an ankle strain saying "I didn't want to bust it up and be unable to run the rest of the series". Last years race and Pocono series female winner Jacyln Shokey completed the course in 31:01, besting second place female Carolyn Popovik by 24 seconds. Five trail run rookies completed the course and all five were so enthusiastic that they are signing up for the remaining Wendy's Pocono Xterra Races utilizing the "$100 Series Ticket". Next up in the Wendy's Pocono Xterra Trail Run series is th Seven Tubs on May 18.
