JACK DANIELS MILE

Report, and results by Dick Daniels

Two-hundred sixty one runners took part of the 29th running of the P&G Mehoopany Employees Federal Credit Union Jack Daniels Mile. Regan Rome and Marina Orrson set new age group records and Regan a new overall record. Regan set the female course record by breaking the old record held by Patty Kupstas of 5:02 set back in 1988. She also lowered her own age group record of 5:03 to 4:59. Marina Orrson broke the record of 5:13 set by Kim Murley in 2005. Murley ran for Division III Dennison University in Ohio and qualified for the nation championships in the 800 meters and 1500 meters. She was also a member of the Denison Cross Country that qualified and participated in Division III nationals.

Jack Tidball, who will be a senior this year at Tunkhannock and a key member of last year's Tunkhannock State Cross Country Championship team, ran a smart race in beating Ben Robinson and Dan Pszeniczny. Robinson is a key runner for Lock Haven's Cross Country team and track team. Pszeniczny recently won top honors in the masters division of the Liberty Mile.
