NOTES:   Registration is 10am to 10:50 am. Pre-registration $12 per runner or walker, $15, day of race.
Runner category , trophies or medals are also awarded to the first male and female in each age group. Medals are awarded to all 2nd place winners. Age group categories are 11 & under, 12-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over.
CAPS FOR THE 1ST 24 REGISTRANTS, T-Shirts for all registrants.
This 5k run is a pleasant rural setting coursing gradually up a secondary paved road, then crosses through grassy woods to a down grade dirt road and finishes at New Albany Park.

THREE IN A ROE

John Johnson of Ulster overall winner of the Albany Valley Challenge did it for 3 consecutive years ,with a time of 18:42:46 minutes this year.. This is a very good time for this wheel measured 5K course. 2nd Place went to Martin Prez also winner in the 40-49 age group.with a time of 21:05:04. Mr Prez often seen running is from Towanda. 1st place honors in the female division went to Jen Stec Gagliardi of Benton with a time of 23:30:32. The second place finisher who also won age group 40-49 was Barb Meitzler from Milan with a time of 25:09 :72. Martin Prez, Joshua Sitas, and Reginald Thomas in that order had 21 minute times. Mr Thomas of Bear Creek was the 50-59 age group winner. Seven year old Madison Dawson of Windsor NY was the youngest runner with a time of 43:53:64. Her and her Grandmother Deb McPherson also a runner came here specifically to run this 5k course that their family like. Every one finished the course on this gorgeous day in good health and with high spirits. It was a good run day at New Albany.
