Michael aka "Chip" Cawley lived a life full of passion and perseverance. Whether it was fishing at every river and lake he came across, snowboarding with his buds, going on hikes, riding on his quad, or golfing with his poppy, he lived true to himself. Curious about the world, Michael strived to learn about various interests. He was a graduate of Valley View High School and Marywood University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. While at Valley View, he was a member of the wrestling and soccer teams. He was also trained by Greg Mancuso as a kickboxer at Northeast Karate. He never limited himself and always accomplished his dreams. Some of his many including excelling at his new job and buying a house. He saw people for who they were and treated everyone with kindness and humility. He loved all animals especially his boxer doggos. He was a caring son and enjoyed spending time with his parents Stacey & Brett. After recently being diagnosed with epilepsy, Michael passed away unexpectedly at work from a grand mal seizure on February 23, 2023.
Michael's unconditional love transcends this universe. His legacy will live on through us & with us. We are raising funds to make a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. All donations will support the following beneficiaries; Camp Freedom, Adopt a Boxer Rescue, Griffin Pond Animal Rescue, and Valley View Wrestling Scholarships.
Thank you for your love and support,
The Cawley Family

The Wilkes Barre Triathlon was in existence for 35 years at Harveys Lake and a huge event for the entire community to be involved with, not just the athletes. This event was once a qualifier for World Championships and attracted athletes from all over the US, including professionals like Lance Armstrong and Mike Pigg. Our desire is to simplify the event and bring the tradition of triathlon back to Harveys Lake.
