- Chris Wadas is one of Northeastern Pennsylvania's most accomplished runners and coaches. As a standout athlete, he captured numerous victories at some of the region's premier road races and earned recognition as one of the top distance runners in the Wyoming Valley. Following his competitive career, he returned to Misericordia University, where he built one of the area's most successful collegiate cross country and track & field programs. During his coaching tenure, he has led teams to multiple conference championships, earned numerous Coach of the Year honors, and guided athletes to NCAA Championship appearances, All-American status, and national titles. His impact on the local running community spans decades as both a competitor and mentor.
